Court leaves NMa’s Method Decisions unchangedGroningen
The Court of Appeal for Trade and Industry (CBb) has today declared that the objections to the NMa’s (Dutch Competition Authority) Method Decisions are unfounded. These Method Decisions are a determining factor for the tariffs that GTS is permitted to calculate for gas transport. The court’s judgement confirms that the NMa has set up a stable and well-founded calculation method for gas transport tariffs. This means that GTS can continue to apply the current tariffs laid down by the NMa without having to make any changes. GTS and Gasunie consider the court’s judgement to be a positive result, because this will contribute towards clarity and stability in the market. Gasunie can continue its strategy, which focuses on effective market operations, both short-term and long-term security of supply and a sustainable energy supply.
