Hans Coenen

Hans Coenen studied at Wageningen University (Engineering degree). He also obtained a Master’s degree (Financial Economics) at TIAS (Tilburg).

Within Gasunie, Hans has held various management positions in finance, commerce, and business development. He was also a director of Gasunie Deutschland. In recent years, he has been closely involved in our development from a gas transmission company to a sustainable energy infrastructure company. Hans has extensive experience in the international gas and energy markets and is a driving force behind Gasunie’s activities in the field of the energy transition.

As of April 1 2023, Hans Coenen has been a member of the Executive Board of Gasunie. As one of the two COOs, he is responsible for the focus areas Methane Transport, Hydrogen Transport, and Gasunie Deutschland.
