In a smart, flexible energy system, we need to be able to switch between various forms of energy and energy systems, like between gas and electricity. In such a system we also need to be able to store and convert energy.

Gasunie plays a crucial role when it comes to the future gas system. In a CO₂-neutral society, the gas infrastructure - in its adapted form - and storage capacity will remain necessary. Energy in the form of molecules is indispensable.

This is the story of the biggest challenge facing the world today: our energy transition to 2050.
