Han Fennema reappointed as CEO of Gasunie

The Minister of Finance has reappointed Han Fennema as CEO and chairman of the Executive Board of N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie, on the recommendation of Gasunie's Supervisory Board. Han Fennema has been CEO of Gasunie since 2014. His reappointment will take effect on 1 March 2022 for a period of four years.
Pieter Duisenberg, Chairman of Gasunie's Supervisory Board, is delighted with the reappointment: “Gasunie is one of the key players in the energy transition in the Netherlands and Northwestern Europe. Han Fennema has played an important role in the strategic development of Gasunie from a natural gas to a renewable energy infrastructure company. Given the ongoing transformation, the decision-making and implementation of major energy transition projects in the pipeline, I am pleased that Han Fennema will remain CEO of Gasunie in the coming 4 years, ensuring continuity on these developments."
About Han Fennema
Before joining Gasunie, Han Fennema (1964) held various management positions in the energy sector. He worked for ExxonMobil, was a member of the Board of Directors of Eneco and was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Enexis.
In addition to his position as CEO of Gasunie, Fennema is a member of the board of the Dutch-German Chamber of Commerce, a member of the executive committee of the International Gas Union and a member of the board of the Royal Association of Gas Producers in the Netherlands. He is also vice chairman of the Supervisory Board of Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen.
