CCS for the industry
Accelerate your decarbonization journey through a cross-border CO₂-transport system.
We look forward to collaborate and support you with transporting captured CO2 to storage locations in the Northsea for permanent storage. In order to enable you on this journey, we offer:
- Near term reliable and cost-effective CO2-infrastructure
- An integrated network of CO2-infrastructure connecting Northwest Europe
- Connecting with CO2-storage solutions as being developed in the Port of Rotterdam; CO2 hub of Northwest Europe
In order to decarbonize and thrive your viable industries, there are various ways to thrive as a commercially viable industry whilst meeting your climate goals. One of them is to capture carbon emissions and store them permanently. Gasunie is developing a major interconnected CO2 infrastructure, crossing borders in Northwest Europe and allowing for CO2 to be transported into offshore storage locations deep under the Northsea trough trunkline and storage projects including Porthos, Aramis, CO2next, Delta Rhine Corridor CO2 and Delta Schelde CO2nnection.
Gasunie has over 60 years of experience in building infrastructure and the construction of CO2 pipelines has already started for Porthos, a CCS project in the Port of Rotterdam. Porthos is expected to be operational in 2026 and will lay the foundation for further expanding the cross-border CO2 infrastructure.
Collaboration is key and therefore we collaborate closely with the government, project partners and local authorities in order to jointly deliver the infrastructure that is needed to decarbonize.
